Quick Draw Pony Bottle Ring – 13/19 & 30/40

The Quick Draw Pony Bottle Ring is a solid, extruded and machined aluminum mounting ring designed for use with the Quick Draw Pony Bottle Bracket system. Available for 13/19 cu. ft. and 30/40 cu. ft. pony bottles, the ring provides a strong, streamlined mounting solution for backup air and staging bottles.

Each ring is precision machined, microfinished and plated for durability and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel fasteners are included.

STAGING FEATURE

A round staging slot is machined directly into the receiver portion of the ring and accommodates up to 1/2" nylon line. This allows the pony bottle to be configured for staging and suspended from compatible BCD attachment points when it is not mounted to the primary cylinder.

This provides divers with additional flexibility when configuring redundant air systems for technical, penetration and Public Safety Diving operations.

QUICK DRAW MOUNTING SYSTEM

The Pony Bottle Ring is designed to engage the Quick Draw receiver bracket, providing a solid connection while allowing the bottle to be quickly detached when necessary.

The ring is compatible with both the Heavy Duty Quick Draw Receiver Bracket and the Standard Quick Draw Receiver Bracket.

The receiver bracket mounts to the primary scuba cylinder using the BCD tank strap or an additional tank band. Using a separate tank band can provide greater flexibility when the BCD strap does not align with the preferred pony bottle mounting position.

The pony bottle should be positioned so it remains streamlined and does not negatively affect the diver's trim.

USED BY THE US WATER RESCUE DIVE TEAM

The U.S. Water Rescue Dive Team uses the Quick Draw Pony Bracket System as its primary pony bottle mounting system when operating on SCUBA.

Receiver brackets can remain installed on the team's BCDs while multiple pony bottles are equipped with Quick Draw Rings and kept ready for deployment. This allows bottles to be switched quickly without removing and reinstalling the receiver bracket.

The solid mounting design helps prevent the excessive movement that can occur with some pony bottle mounting systems. Just as importantly, the Quick Draw design allows the pony bottle to be detached underwater when necessary.

For Public Safety Divers, this can be particularly useful when operating with thick gloves, limited visibility and cold hands. A backup diver can also detach and transfer a pony bottle to another diver when operational or emergency circumstances require it.
