Jackstay Search Kit

A search utilizing a Jackstay System is one of the most effective search methods used by trained Public Safety Divers.

This is the kit you have been waiting for. Complete with everything you need (except proper training) to conduct an effective underwater search pattern. All equipment is top of the line!

The kit weighs at least 35 pounds or more depending on which weights you select. Not just any bag will carry this weight. We have selected a US made heavy duty bag with a lifetime warranty. Carrying handles, HD zipper, black. The sides of the bag are mesh to allow quick drying.

The rope is a premium 3 strand nylon (4-stage construction). 5/16" (8mm) white with a yellow tracer.

The standard down-weights are 15 pound black mushroom weights. These weights work very well for most conditions involving still water with a muddy or soft bottom. You have the option to upgrade to a 20 pound or 30 pound river anchor. The river anchors are recommended for hard or sanding bottoms and moving / swift water (please do not attempt diving in moving water without proper training and certification). 20 & 30 lb weight are red, blue, or orange depending on availability (please let us know if you need a specific color).

The standard high visibility marker is a high quality 6" polyform buoy in red or yellow (depending on availability). You have the option to upgrade to a high visibility Heavy Duty 9" buoy. The HD buoys are recommended if you are opting for the 30 pound weights (due to the higher lift capacity) or if operating in rough water (since they are larger they are easier to spot from a distance). 9" buoys are white or red, depending on what is available at time of order (please let us know if you need a specific color).
