Important information in regards to attachment of SI TECH Exhaust Valves
During the years we have received some Exhaust Valves that has taken damage by incorrect attachment procedures. The information in this section is intended to prevent this to happen. The most common way of damaging an Exhaust Valve during the attachment procedure is by holding the adjustment lid and using force to rotate it when tightening the valve to the Valve Port. Please always try to have SI TECH Attachment tools available when attaching the valve onto a drysuit. If you do not have Attachment tools, please follow the guide below.
The red section of this illustration shows the rotatable adjustment lid. The green section shows the protection ring. The "black" bottom section of the valve is the attachment nut. When tightening the valve to the Valve Port, please follow these simple steps:
- Tightening of the valve is made by rotating the attachment nut on the inside of the drysuit together with the anti-friction washer and at the same time holding the protection ring, on the outside of the drysuit, in a firm grip.
- Do not hold the adjustment lid (marked red) when tightening the valve, this will damage the valve! Why? This is the rotatable adjustment part of the valve. If you by force rotate the adjutment lid beyond its end position you will either damage the lid itself or crucial internal parts of the valve.

The SEASOFT PRO / M6™ 6 mm Drysuit Hood is the best commercial diving hood available anywhere.
Why should you buy this SEASOFT PRO / M6™ 6 mm Drysuit Hood?
The SEASOFT PRO / M6™ 6 mm Drysuit Hood is our commercial drysuit hood designed to be worn with a full face mask. The PRO / M6™ has a layer of skin on the inside and on the outside with a layer of tough nylon in between these two layers. The skin allows the hood to seal to your face and the full face mask to seal to the hood.
Of course, the three back panels are of compressed neoprene to provide you with thermal protection as you descend. You don't want your hood getting thinner as the water is getting colder.
There are no seams down the middle of the chin, this prevents jaw fatique.
There are two layers of Titanium Flake Foil™ for added heat retention.
At the top of the hood there are two small holes with a built in baffle system inside the hood to purge excess air from inside your hood while preventing any cold water from entering.
The SEASOFT PRO / M6™ 6 mm Drysuit Hood is the perfect commercial hood for that specific dive.

What are Polytex Seals?
Whites Polytex seals are a combination of Vulcanized Natural Rubber Latex and Polyurethane. The Polyurethane stabilizes the Latex and helps inhibit the seal from tearing. Ever get a small tear in a seal and it runs the length when donning the Drysuit? Although not indestructible, Polytex reduces this tendency and allows for a repair to be made to the seal, not necessarily making a replacement mandatory. Additional anti-aging ingredients are added to combat the effects of ultra-violet light, ozone and copper. These additions make for a tougher, longer lasting seal when compared to standard latex seals.
Polytex neck and wrist drysuit seals come standard on the Whites (now Aqua Lung) Hazmat Drysuits.
