PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is recognized as a world leader in SCUBA diving training. Certifications range from basic to master with specialty areas including night diving and wreck diving. Water lovers not sure they’re ready to take the plunge and earn certification can experience the exhilaration of breathing underwater with one of our discovery classes.
Basic Open Water – Students learn the basics of diving including an introduction to gear, terminology and safety procedures. This course includes studying on your own, in our class, in the pool, and in the open water.
Advanced Diver – This course builds open water skills. Students take a series of five dives with an instructor to increase comfort and confidence underwater.
Rescue Diver – Divers learn to recognize and prevent problems along with how to manage issues as they occur. This challenging course also teaches self rescue and rescuing unresponsive divers. Prerequisites are advanced open water certification, CPR and First Aid cards. *This is course is a recreational course, though very valuable for Public Safety Divers, this course does not qualify a Diver as a Public Safety Diver or professional Rescue Diver.
Dive Master – Take your dive experience to the professional level. This course lets divers improve their personal underwater skills and teaches them to help others hone their underwater skills.
Altitude Diver – Dives at 300 to 10,000 feet above sea level are altitude dives. This course teaches divers about the effects of pressure at higher altitudes and how to adjust their dive plans to address those changes, including adding safety stops.
Boat Diver – Reach more dive sites! Whether you are dropping off an inflatable or jumping from a live-aboard, this course teaches the tips and tricks that make entering and exiting the water safer and simpler.
Deep Diver – Go deeper and see more with deep diver certification. Students learn safety and dive techniques for diving to 130 feet. Dives with instructors provide experience planning and organizing deep dives.
Drift Diver – Learn to cruise underwater by riding the current. This course teaches the intricacies of drift diving such as buoyancy control, navigation and communication, including how to stay close to your buddy or together as a group.
Navigation Diver – This course teaches divers to use natural clues and compasses to navigate in the aquatic world. Other skills include learning to make maps and estimate distances underwater.
Night Diver – See the underwater world come to life at night. This course teaches night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and how to spot potential problems.
Search And Recovery (SAR) – This course teaches how to plan, organize and execute a search and recovery dives. Skills include how to use search patterns to locate objects then use a lift bag or other recovery methods to bring those items to the surface. *This is course is a recreational course, though very valuable for Public Safety Divers, this course does not qualify a Diver as a Public Safety Diver or professional Recovery Diver.
Underwater naturalist – This fun course teaches divers more about the underwater world by introducing them to topics including the role of aquatic plants, food chains and predator-prey relationships.
Wreck Diver – There are amazing things underwater including historic ship wrecks, underwater forests and submerged vehicles. This course teaches equipment options, techniques for entering intact wrecks and how to avoid common hazards.
Enriched Air Diver- The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty
scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with
enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This
means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. You can typically stay down longer and get back the water sooner.
No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.

Montana has some beautiful lakes that at many times offer as good or better conditions than the ocean. And of course tropical warm water diving is at times is a must, so we do offer dive travel.
